Haul route to the equipment pad is not shown
C-101 places the pad in the north yard. No haul route or working clearance is shown against section 31 00 00.
A constructability review asks whether the work can be built from the documents, on this site, in the time they allow. USACE ER 415-1-11 defines that test. Specset checks the drawings and the specifications against each other. Design Review covers constructability alongside coordination and bidability.

Sheet M-201 shows the duct tight to the beam. Section 23 31 00 requires clearance the sheet does not provide.
Ease of construction, the time allowed, and whether the documents can be administered in the field.
A practical pass over the conditions the regulation tells a reviewer to check before the work is advertised.
Specset reads both sets and cites the clash. The reviewer still makes the call.
USACE defines constructability as the ease of constructing a designed and/or specified project according to the government's requirements, including the proposed construction duration(s) and the ease of understanding and administering the contract documents.
ER 415-1-11, 28 April 2026, calls for that review at each design stage, generally 30 percent, 60 percent, 90 percent, and final. On a design-build project, section 8 also reviews the request for proposal, including constructability constraints in that request. The point is to find what will not build cleanly before the documents are used to buy the work.
These checks follow the constructability review in ER 415-1-11, section 7.b. The 28 April 2026 edition removed the appendix checklists from the earlier regulation. Section 10 tells each district to keep its own list, and it points to sample checklists. Section 12 points to supplemental tools in the construction management application.
Confirm the drawings and specifications include the visible and known site conditions, including site access and contractor laydown and storage.
Confirm the specified work can be built with the materials, equipment, and means and methods the site allows.
Confirm utility connections, and relocation when the work requires it, are located and coordinated.
Confirm the construction sequence is feasible and the period of performance is long enough, including phasing and joint occupancy.
Confirm safety is addressed, and the work can be sequenced without an unsafe operation.
Confirm the Safety, Schedule, Submittal, and Quality Control specifications fit the project size, complexity, and location.
Chosen from the slash menu, Design Review proposes an outline that includes cross-discipline coordination, and constructability and bidability. The review checks the drawings and the specifications against each other.
The Specset docs describe that review as looking for conflicts within the plans, conflicts within the specs, and clashes between the two. Specset works with non-standard spec formats just as well as MasterFormat. Its engine is built to parse whatever format a project's specs are written in. Agency formats such as UFGS, Caltrans, WSDOT, FDOT, and BNSF are examples. The checklist above is the pass a reviewer can walk. Specset runs the cross-document check and cites each finding. Your team still makes the call.

Review Caltrans Standard Special Provisions against the Standard Specifications, plans, and submittals. The project special provisions merge into the sections they amend.
Read FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-10 the way the project uses it. Item numbers, special provisions, and modifications are conformed into the governing text, then checked against submittals and plans.
Review WSDOT General Special Provisions against the Standard Specifications, plans, and submittals. Fill-ins, region provisions, and project provisions merge into the sections they amend.
Bring a recent design set. Specset will check the drawings and the specifications against each other and return cited findings your reviewers can confirm or reject.
