Accessibility · Section 508 · WCAG 2.0 AA

Built for everyone on the project.

Public work carries accessibility obligations, and the teams that deliver it deserve software that meets them. Specset is built and evaluated against WCAG 2.0 AA and the Revised Section 508 standards, with conformance documented in a report you can put straight into the procurement file.

01 · Practice

Accessible by construction.

An accessibility statement is easy to write. Ours is backed by working practice: patterns in the design system, rules that fail the build, and evaluation against the standards before features ship.

Practice 01

Keyboard operation

Skip links, visible focus indicators, and Enter and Space activation across the product. The interface is designed to be driven start to finish without a mouse.

Practice 02

Screen reader semantics

Pages are structured with landmarks and headings. Controls expose programmatic names, roles, and states, and composite widgets such as search follow the established ARIA patterns.

Practice 03

Contrast and color

Interface colors are managed as a token system checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios, and state is conveyed in text rather than color alone.

Practice 04

Enforced in the build

Accessibility lint rules run at error severity on every change. A missing name, an unfocusable control, or a broken label fails the build before it ships.

Practice 05

Evaluated on real flows

Core workflows are reviewed with keyboard-only operation and screen readers against WCAG 2.0 AA, and findings are tracked and fixed like any other defect.

Practice 06

Documented honestly

Conformance is recorded per criterion in an ACR, including the criteria we partially support and the alternative path available today. The report moves when the product moves.

02 · Conformance

The report says exactly where we stand.

Specset publishes its conformance as an Accessibility Conformance Report on the VPAT 2.5 template, the format federal and public-sector procurement teams expect. Read it in full, drop the PDF in the evaluation file, and hold us to it.

For procurement and IT

Put the report in the file.

Read the current ACR for your evaluation, or tell us where the product falls short for your team. Reports go to the people who build the product, and they answer.
